Working with Teams
Working with Teams
We work with clients on all stages of the life of a team. From deciding whether a team structure is appropriate for a task, through team assessment, to the ending and review of how effective a team has been and what lessons have been learnt.
Planning Teams
Workshops to define the type of team required, what structure it should have, how it will work and who should be in it.
Launching a Team
Workshops to help a team define its purpose, objectives, tasks and method of working. This is a vital stage to make sure that everybody has the same understanding and expectations of the team and the members.
Assessing a Team
Working with an existing team to help them review how effective they are and whether there are any changes that need to be made to improve their operation. This can look at the team’s objectives, relationships with other teams, or their internal processes, and is often a powerful way to enable the team to raise and deal with issues that have been limiting or frustrating them.
Changing a Team
Planning and facilitating changes in team structure or operations can be difficult and stressful, particularly if the team has been in existence for some time. Facilitation of the process can often help the team to identify the changes needed and to participate in deciding actions needed.
Ending a Team
This is often the stage in a team’s life that is missed altogether or handled poorly. The process of ending needs to be handled well, recognition given for achievements, and the lessons learnt captured to inform future practice.
